Here are some of the images images from day 3 of the Voice of the Wetlands Festival which was just as amazing as day 1. Got there in time to catch a little of Amanda Shaw, Sol Driven Train , Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band , and a BLAZING set with The Voice of the Wetlands Allstars including Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, Waylon Thibodeaux and pops, Johnny Sansone, Johnny Vidacovich, Corey Duplechin, Mitch Woods, Big Sam Williams, and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux. What a great way to end what was for me and many others, the best VOW Festival to date. Fantastic job to everyone, and the man behind the scenes Rueben Williams. When I have some spare time I’ll do the rest, as usual all are posted at t http://nativeorleanian.com/voice-of-the-wetlands-festival-2011/ , need to finish another job and get ready for the Crescent City Blues Festival this weekend where I will be in the artists village!!
What a first night at the 2011 Voice of the Wetlands Festival. It was my first Friday night “Guitar Fights” and it pretty much left me speechless and smiling. It was more like “Guitar Insanity”…….just glad I was there….all of the music was incredible, from Ben Labat and Happy Devil, to Babby Bee Feat. Johnny Sansone to the shootout which included Josh Garret, Joe Stark, Ernie Vincent,Tab Benoit, Anders Osborne, Dave Malone, Camile Baudoin, and Paul Barrere, Corey Duplechin on bass and Johnny Vidacovich on drums. These are just a few quickies I did this mornin, many more to come next week but this is a good taste….2 more days ahead for the fest so get on down to Houma!!
