Another client and good friend I had the pleasure of running into today is Craig Tracy of “PAINTED ALIVE” Body painting Gallery in the French Quarter. Craig is an extremely talented artist and his work is breathtaking…..I have had the pleasure of doing a shoot with him last year on his piece entitled “Koi”. Here are some of the images from the shoot illustrating the process from the start, where it all starts with a concept and image, to the actual painting and finally the amazing results! …..I spend a considerable amount of time doing on site shoots for marketing ,architecture, and other various endeavors……this one was one of the most amazing, not just “aesthetically”, but watching Craig work his magic is truly a gift in itself. You should check out his gallery in the Quarter if you haven’t already. Craig Tracy’s Painted Alive Body Painting Gallery is located at 827 Royal St. in the French Quarter. There was soooo much great music out there over the weekend and such wonderful people, my favorites were of course Ernie Vincent and the Top Notes, kinda expected cause I manage them too…that being said Sonny Landreth was on fire, Buddy Guy brought his powerful self as usual, but I think the shows I really enjoyed most were a couple that were on the small stage which was conveniently right next to my photography tent! On Saturday it was really nice to see JD Hill and the Jammers(used to live for those Tuesday shows at Benny’s back in the day), Robert Belfour blew me away as usual, on Sunday a pleasant mesmerizing surprise was Chris Smither and I think the one I enjoyed most was T-Model Ford, nothing like watching and listening to these old guys taking over a crowd and putting them under a beautiful spell…….it was quite nice indeed!! Studio and Gallery open this Saturday and Sunday!

Happy French Quarter Fest Everyone!! 1 more week till the big one…..
This Saturday and Sunday, my studio at 725 Montegut St. in the Bywater will be open to the public from 9-at least 1 on Saturday and 9-1 on Sunday. I will be more than happy to take appointments outside these hours or early next week for visitors. Large selection of architecture, indians, and more, all orders are customizable and framing available!
I have revamped my website so it looks a little different, the musical galleries are under the portfolio tab for now, and I just added an unbelievable slideshow from Super Sunday! I have also recently completed 2 studio photo shoots with Al “Carnival Time” Johnson and yesterday with Big Chief Monk Boudreaux fully suited. These will be available soon in a one of a kind edition print and canvas, autographed by each subject! More info soon to come.
Obviously I will not be at the Bywater Art Market but I highly recommend a visit while in the neighborhood, its at Markey Park, 4 blocks from my studio.
