Danny Burns Upcoming CD Shoot

A few weeks ago I had the distinct pleasure of doing a shoot for Danny Burns while he was recording with George Porter Jr. and Mean Willie Green. They were recording over at a very cozy studio in the 9th ward called “House of 1000hz” run by sound Engineer Andrew Gilchrist. This was just a preliminary recording session and the cd will be out sometime later this year, something to really look forward too. The final shoot for the cd will take place in a couple months, I’ll keep you posted about this intriguing project, really good stuff……If this is your first time here and you would like to get on my mailing list or want more info, just reply or comment below. Anders Osborne’s American Patchwork set for release April 27th

Anders Osborne’s new cd “American Patchwork” is set for release on April 27th, just in time for Jazz Fest…and believe me…it’s some serious fire! We did a short shoot earlier this month for the cd design and I also shot the sessions at Studio in the Country back in September. These are some of the images from the shoot, a couple from Studio in the Country, and a live shot or two associated with this cd. Anders was recently signed by Bruce Iglauer, President of Alligator Records and new client of mine….. here is a short clip from the press release..”Alligator Records is proud to announce the signing of award-winning guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Anders Osborne. Osborne’s Alligator Records debut album, American Patchwork, is a moving collection of soul-baring roots rock, blues and ballads. Many of the songs on American Patchwork deal with healing and redemption, spirituality and acceptance. Often compared to Townes Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen and Van Morrison, Osborne is an exceptional and singular talent. Paste Magazine says, “Osborne has an impossibly great voice and the songs to match.” American Patchwork will be released on April 27, 2010.” The band accompanying Anders on this incredible recording include the likes of Stanton Moore, Robert Walter, and Pepper Keenan…..this should give you an idea of whats on the horizon…Anders manager is Rueben Williams, Thunderbird Management Group…. Last week I had the opportunity to spend some time with Anders Osborne up at Studio in the Country during the recording of his upcoming cd “American Patchwork”. Stanton Moore and Robert Walter join Anders on this cd, which is sure to please indeed, trust me.

Coming soon, I will also be kicking off a video interview series called GROUND ZERO NOLA of which the first interview will be with Anders Osborne talking about what’s been goin on, what’s around the corner and the new cd. The cool thing is that I will be conducting these personal one on one interviews about every month with the subjects in order that fans and people interested in our culture can submit personal question’s pertaining to the artist to be answered directly by email, or if your question is selected, on the next video interview!!
